Why have a Piggy Bank when you can have a Hippo Bank?
Site updated: 29th of March 2025

How to use the site to get the best savings?

The website is laid out in different sections, best interest rates for instant access, fixed rate term deposits, best rates for instant access Individual Savings Accounts (ISA) and best interest rates for fixed rate term deposits Individual Savings Accounts (ISA). Each category has their own individual page that can be ordered to show low or high interest rate, the bank, building society, if it's web, branch or app based savings accout, if it has the £85,000 FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) protection.

Why the website was setup:

Hi, I'm Gav a disabled guy that struggles with a lot of daily challenges from having Generalised Dystonia (similar to Parkinson's Disease) and then getting Functional Neurological Disease after a few strokes during open heart surgery. I don't have a lot of cash and the money I do have I want to make it work earning as much interest as possible.
My friends often came to me asking me for the best interest rates for their savings, I was already looking into the best interest rates and independently checking them, with all the work looking into the accounts I decided to setup a website, with hopefully easily laid out and in an accessible way to view the best bank accounts to help other people. Unlike almost all the other money comparisson websites I do not get paid via affiliate links for recommending accounts and am not swayed by payment to list an account higher up a list.

The website is about information, I may miss a great account or the interest rates may change the day after I publish the information, very sorry about this, it's not about financial advice and you should always check the account details to make sure the account is correct for your needs. Due to struggling to type, I can only code in basic HTML these days and I hope that makes it super accessible and easy to read. I have used AI for basic layouts and the Fluffy Hippo image, voice to text has been used to help write text.
